Going Deep: South Dakota vs. North Dakota 1

The wagers that Matthew and Nate make can be backed up with some in-depth analysis to figure out which person has a better chance at being correct (note: This always isn’t the case). There’s a multitude of stats that you can dive in to if you want to determine the likelihood that someone is going to hit a certain number of homeruns or a steal a certain amount of bases. But what about the wagers that you can’t use xFIPs, BABIPs, GB%s, etc on? You’ve got to pull out the facts, compare them and make an informed decision. That’s exactly what I’m going to do with the “Which State is better: South Dakota vs. North Dakota?” wager.

If you have other pros/cons that I missed, leave them in the comments and I’ll add them to the list.

North Dakota holds a 60-29-5 advantage over South Dakota in college football dating back (DING) to 1903. Perhaps someone with more free time can figure all of the UND, NDSU vs. SDSU and USD tilts (DING). My gut feeling (having some I-AA/FCS knowledge) is that the North dominates the South.
